The Winter Solstice Labyrinth Walk was a ritual of quiet reflection, where community gathered in the gentle glow of firelight to reflect upon the season's shift. A hand-laid, candlelit 7-circuit 'Cretan' labyrinth, formed with luminary bags and votive candles, offered a shared, unicursal path. The program wove together seasonal education and guided meditation as attendees sipped herbal tea and explored the symbolism of labyrinths, the heritage of the solstice, and the power of public green spaces like Gateway Garden. Fleeting flames, the passing of tea, and the curved stone seating at the threshold of 111th and Langley bound us together in a moment of collective renewal.
